Men's Ministry is a great way for men to share the highs and lows of the "man in the mirror." Their are many demands that only men understand, and this small group ministry of Ward Avenue, High Point has been a valuable one for "real" sharing, and has enabled the men of our church to grow from the strengths of one another.
In the past, this ministry has implemented wonderful bible studies, and book studies directing us through God's word. Additionally, as you'll notice from the pictures below, softball has always been a big part of the men of our local church. The Family Life Center
The Family Life Center has been a vital part of Men's ministry at our local church, as a higher percentage of men than women typically engage in athletic events.
On January 24, 1993, the congregation dedicated a separate building housing the Family Life Center (pictured above). This building includes a gymnasium, large kitchen, and a large meeting room. This building has proven to be a major asset to the local ministry, hosting a variety of youth activities, Senior Citizen's meetings, wedding and anniversary receptions, showers, etc. A number of congregation members have evolved from athletic events held in the FLC, including the current webmaster responsible for designing this website.
Another special feature of the FLC is a small apartment that is used to house visiting ministers. On occasion, it serves to bring in additional income through rentals during the International Home Furnishings Market held twice a year in High Point.
