Ward Avenue “THRIVE” Goals: 2010 – 2020
n Treasure: Core Value – Stewardship!
We will worship God and concurrently assure that financial resources are available at Ward Avenue to operate the ministries and meet the financial obligations through consistent tithing (i.e., giving 10%) of our increase and via giving free will offerings into our local church treasury.
n Harvest: Core Values – Kingdom/Church Planting!
We will frequently tell others in our community about Jesus and invite them to our fellowship! Together, we will plant at least two churches (one in Paraguay, and one in NC) during this decade.
n Royal Law: Core Value: Love!
We will love others as we love ourselves and thereby keep the “royal law.” So, we will purpose to love others in this divine way.
n Intercession: Core Value: Prayer!
We will be a people of prayer. We will pray to God daily for our personal needs, as well as those of our families, our church, our community, our state, and our nation. Also, we will attend weekly prayer meetings regularly.
n Vision & Mission Statements:
Vision: We, the Ward Avenue Church of God of Prophecy, will be a Christ-exalting, holiness, Spirit-filled, all-nations, disciple- making, church-planting movement with a passion for Christian union.
Mission: Empowered by the Holy Spirit, through prayer, we, at Ward Avenue, will plant churches and equip leaders to carry out the biblical mandate to make genuine disciples of all the peoples of the world, to the glory of Christ our Lord, Head of the church.
n Education: Core Value – Leadership Development!
We will equip ourselves and others with knowledge and skills via Christian Education opportunities (i.e., Sunday School, Bible Study, CIMS Classes, SOPAS, LDI, TC, GCTS, PTS, seminars, etc.) and emerge as able and anointed leaders in our generation.
